Faults

Faults in Module

Current/Confirmed Faults
Fault 1 : P2050 : Issue in reductant injector circuit bank 2 unit 1 (upstream of catalytic converter)

Symptoms:
Black smoke coming from the exhaust upon startup

Possible Causes:
Wiring or connectors that are associated with the exhaust temperature sensor may be damaged.
The exhaust temperature sensor is faulty.
An aftermarket exhaust system that does not conform to the manufacturers specifications may be installed.
The powertrain control module may be faulty.
A large exhaust leak upstream of the exhaust temperature sensor may exist

Solutions:
Exhaust gas temperature sensor has failed and needs to be replaced after careful inspection of wires

Pending Faults
Fault 1 : P0462 : Actual fuel level in tank not reported by fuel level sensor accurately

Symptoms:
Incorrect fuel level reading

Possible Causes:
Faulty Fuel Level Sensor
Fuel Level Sensor harness is open or shorted
Fuel Level Sensor circuit poor electrical connection

Solutions:
Before replacing any parts try filling up the fuel tank and erasing the engine code. If the problem persist it may be necessary to replaced the
fuel level sensor

Fault 2 : U0155 : Lost communication with Instrument panel cluster (IPC) control module
Fault 3 : P2320 : Issue in Ignition Coil "G" Secondary Circuit

Symptoms:
Poor fuel economy
Engine knock on acceleration
Displays an intermittent stumble or miss

Possible Causes:
Faulty Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor
Faulty crankshaft position sensor
Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor harness is open or shorted
Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor circuit poor electrical connection
Low battery charge
Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)

Solutions:
Check for wiring and electrical issues
After making sure that timing marks are aligned, test belt or chain deflection using manufacturers specifications
