A traffic controller's key responsibility is to direct the movement of machines and vehicles on
roadways and other work sites. Traffic controllers are in charge of coordinating, setting up,
managing, and removing traffic control. They direct traffic in regions where there is an
interruption, including accidents, planned maintenance, construction sites, and roadworks. They
must pay close attention to traffic movement.

Share some responsibilities of the traffic controller?


1. Manage day to day work zone setup, maintenance and tear down, meeting or
exceeding, state and company expectations.
2. Guide traffic safely throughout the area of operation in accordance with regulations.
3. Serve as the first line of response in the event of an emergency, whether it is
environmental or personal injury.
4. Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and replace traffic signals and signal components.
