Corporate Worship/Ministry of Music

Overall Vision –
My involvement represents an expansion/evolution of the Music Ministry at Christ
Church. Not change for change sake, but an opening up of the playbook so to speak musically
as we look to further and more specifically align with the vision of Christ Church on 62 nd &
Woodlawn on the South Side of Chicago. To that end, and more specifically to the experience
and skillset I bring to the table, that means (particularly on Sunday Mornings) a gradual but
intentional move to more of a Gospel-Styled influenced flavor of worship/music. Up to and
including at some point a full gospel choir that would minister on some Sundays. That being
said, our music ministry would not be limited in scope to just that… I also envision:

Musical Artist Series

Once a Quarter/Twice A year
Classical; Jazz; other styles of music being regularly showcased
Children’s Choir
Youth Choir
Music Mentorship/Training Program
Possible Pastoral training partnership/internship w/Simeon Trust specific to
music
Local & National Music Workshops
Writing & Creative Avenues opened to be expressed/incorporated into our services
Full Drama/Arts Division
Plays; Musicals; Productions
Stylized Services that allow for different music
Prayer & Praise
Communion Service
Second Service
State of The Art Facility to host concerts and other Community Events

the Church? [Stylistically?]
