Georgia Toastmasters, District 14, Division B, had a fun time at the Humorous speech and Speech Evaluation contests held at the First Christian Church fellowship hall on August 20th in Waycross. Our Contest Chair was Marie Simpson and our Chief Judge was Linda Means. Our target Speaker for the Evaluation portion was Hasani X.

GRAMMARIANS CORNER Be careful using the past tense. The helping verbs has, have, had may need the past participle. It is incorrect to use the past tense in this sentence: He must have went outside. Use the past participle: We havent seen him. He must have gone outside. Do you think he has eaten already?
