INTRODUCTION
NID DAT entrance exam is held in pen and paper based mode. The exam is conducted
in three stages, which includes Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims, Design Aptitude
Test (DAT) Mains and studio test & personal interview. To pass the exam with flying
colors, candidates should acquainted with the exam pattern of NID DAT. The exam
pattern mentions the types of questions asked in the exam, marking scheme, break up
of marks in each section and duration of the test. The question paper of NID DAT com-
prises both objective and subjective questions. To be precise, NID DAT exam pattern
gives students a fair idea about the format of the exam structure and also syllabus.
Candidates must keep in mind that NID DAT exam pattern is not the same for Prelims
and Mains exams. The qualified candidates in prelims exam are eligible to appear for
the second stage, which is Mains exam.

Part I of NID DAT

Part II of NID DAT


●● Part II of the entrance exam comprises four subjective questions.
●● As per exam pattern of NID DAT, it is mandatory for candidates to answer all
questions in this part.
●● All questions are asked in English in this part of the entrance exam
●● There are no negative marks for incorrectly answering the questions
Through NID DAT exam pattern, candidates also get to know the parameters on which

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING THE


OMR SHEET
●● Every question has four options. Candidates have to use blue or black ball point
pen to mark the correct option by darkening the corresponding oval on the
answer sheet.
●● Students must note that they should fill only one oval for every question. Filling
more than one is treated as wrong answer.
●● Test takers can see the right method in connection with darkening the oval on
side-1 of the answer sheet. They should strictly follow the same method.
●● Students should not tear, mutilate or bend the OMR answer sheet.
