REFLECTION PAPER IN MAKING GRAPHIC ORGANIZER:
The graphic organizer shows the details of the content and pedagogy in teaching social studies that teachers should gain more knowledge by using their critical thinking skills. And also, teachers need to be professional in reading the sources as a guide or a tool to provide the discussion of the lesson as they present their topic in front of the class. Also, teachers should give use their learning activities like the debate for the students to give them a chance to speak and give meaningful questions based on the topic. And it is a great way for the teachers to give the content to the students in teaching social studies. Based on the article that I read and understand, as Verloop said Knowledge in the history curriculum is taught and interpreted, and detailed in the school because it encompasses the beliefs and the mindset of teaching social studies and other disciplines since in the mind of the history teacher components of knowledge, beliefs, and values are intertwined to develop the skills in teaching social studies.
