PROBLEMS
 The lack of clarity may have
contributed to come observed
incoherence between and
among the key concepts grade
level standards, content
standards and performance
standards. (p.11)
 According to (DepED, 2016);
it states that the curriculum
claims the features various
text types will be taught by
the students. In these types or
genres of reading, listening,
and viewing texts that the
students needs to improve of
their skills especially when it
comes to writing and
speaking skills fluency are
not yet specified. (p.11)
EFFECTS
 Sometimes, it happened to the
teachers in elementary level
and it is quite confusing to
them because they don’t
know their motivational skills
and they understand of what
they followed their guidelines
in lesson plan and the
students they don’t
understand of their concepts
during the lesson proper and
even the content, the learning
outcomes, and the students’
academic performance. In the
subject of English, teachers
can’t seem confidently in
speaking and motivational
skills in teaching because
they lack of clarity and lack
of self-confidence through
performance in teaching.
 It seems in the curriculum
guide in English, it is quite
confused and traumatic for
the students to read, write and
listen skills. Even the teachers
are quite durable enough to
teach the students in foreign
language for example; I think
one of my memories when I
was in 3rd year high school
was that I learned and speak
in Mandarin during the
CAUSE
 This problem causes aside
from lack of clarity; it is also
lack of self-confidence,
misconceptions, confusion
and miscommunication.
 Confusion
 Traumatize of Students.
 Depression/ Anxiety.
 Low performance without
using these 21st century skills.
 Misunderstood of the part of
a lesson.
 Lack of self-confidence.
SOLUTIONS
 Teachers needs clarity of their
works of the students by
levels of improvement to
reach their confidence
especially the clarity of
grammar structures and even
reading comprehensions and
that’s why students need to
face their challenges in
developing skills in the level
of participation in learning
English.
 Being a foreign language
teacher, you should know the
accents or pronunciations in
order for the students to
understand by reading of the
sentences/ phrases or words
that they need to improve
reading skills and not just
reading skills, but also
writing, listening and
speaking development skills.

 The Philippines has initiated
English Curriculum reforms
to respond effectively to the
demands of 21st century
education and the current
educational problems of the
country such as low
achievement test scores and
congested curriculum. (p.12)
 According to (Paterson,
2010), the absence of a
definition for a key terms it
may lead to lack of uniform
interpretation of these
concepts consequently
broadening the gap between
the intended and the
implemented curriculum.

structure, it is quite messed
up and even my classmates
are difficult to enhance it.
And, it makes us blast our
brain and low performance.
 In the BEC or Basic
Education Curriculum, pupils
in the elementary level are in
the same level of skills but,
some students who got a low
scores in the quiz or exam
because they low
performance in reading,
writing, listening and
speaking skills. Or, maybe
they doesn’t know the
meaning of the words. And
also, in speech laboratory
sometimes students are
difficult in pronunciations
 The absence is that these key
terms in teaching
English/Language for the
students may it lead to lack of
uniform interpretation
because teachers seemed to
be unprofessional and
unprepared and sometimes,
they lack communication
skills because students are
quite confusing because they
don’t know of what the
teacher said.
 Low skills in reading, writing,
speaking and listening skills.
 Inhibition high levels in
cognitive and evaluative
skills in the level practice of
English.
 Some students who got a low
score in the quiz or exam due
to use their logical and
interpretative skills instead of
knowledge acquisition.
 Misunderstanding of their
opinions.
 Language Extinction.
 Rigidity.
 Students are bored enough
while the teacher is
discussing his/her lesson.
 Students needs to accomplish
their playing educational
games like grammar structure
and vocabulary and spelling
words. Parents need guidance
for their children to learn
read, write, listen and
speaking skills through
gaining knowledge to
improve of their skills in
teaching English.
 The only way solution for that
problem is to develop
students on how to read,
write, listen and speaking
skills. Because, it is very
important for the students in
learning English. Because, it
needs to be improve these
skills in order to
accommodate them to provide
some guidelines; procedures
and activities in order to
understand reading, writing,

 According to (Hardman & A-
Rahman, 2014); teachers are
facing their challenges on
how they can implement the
new curriculum properly
because some teachers are
struggling so much in
teaching and its due to lack of
specificity on processes,
strategies, and approaches as
they manage their own time
in teaching during the
classroom basis. (p.11)
 Teachers are responsible
enough to prepare their
materials and lesson proper
for the students to entertain
them and to execute them
with the use of motivational
skills. But, sometimes
teachers are imperfect
teaching performance due to
lack of communication skills;
low teaching performance
and lack of self-confidence
during the teaching basis
inside the classroom.
