Statistical correlations between the spectral signature of pixels and well-known ground truth

classes are learned by the algorithm using the supervised maximum likelihood classification
technique, a common classification technique. It is frequently used when the number of classes
is known and the spectral characteristics of each class are understood. Iso Cluster Supervised
Classification, in contrast, clusters pixels with comparable spectral characteristics and then
assigns class labels based on user-defined criteria. It might be helpful when there are unknown
numbers of classes or when the spectral properties are not well understood. The particular
problem at hand and the information available will ultimately determine which of the two
strategies is most successful. Testing both approaches and comparing the results may also be
useful to decide which is better suited for the task at hand.
The output results show that the Supervised maximum likelihood provides a more accurate
description of the region. The ISO 7 and ISO 14 unsupervised methods require more technical
know-how, but since this unsupervised method is only sensitive to identifying pixels
classification, it may be helpful if you're having trouble identifying the data in the bands.
