In Vietnam, there are many different area which represent different eating

habits.
Despite being different, there’re also rules like when having a meal with
Vietnamese:
- You have to invite elder people and wait for them to have the first piece of
the dishes then you’ll be able to eat
- Not to poke the rice in the bowl with your chopsticks because it looks like
you’re worshipping something
- Not to make sound when eating
- Not to let the food fall off the bowl
- Eat all everything you have in the bowl
- Not to eat only your favourite food, not to eat all the special dishes
- Not talk when you’re eating food in your mouth
In the North and in many province in the Middle of Vietnam, you have to
invite each person in the meal. However, in many province in the South of Vietnam,
you just need to invite the whole family then you’ll be able to eat. There’re also many
things you should do when having a meal in others family is help them prepare for
the food and things to eat like chopsticks, bowl, ect.
