6 To promote one country’s cuisine, food events play a very important role. In
Vietnam, we have organized many events. And here are some examples.
An à la carte menu allows us to choose dishes from a list of options, each priced
separately. It provides flexibility to order dishes according to our preferences and
dietary restrictions, with prices varying for each item.
11 Study the Menu: After being seated, you will be given a menu. Take some time to
review the menu items, including appetizers, main courses, desserts, and
beverages. Some restaurants may offer daily specials or a separate drink menu.
Order Drinks: When a server approaches your table, they may ask if you'd like
something to drink. You can order water, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, or any
other available options.
Appetizers: Decide if you want to start with an appetizer. If so, let the server
know which appetizer(s) you'd like.
Main Course: After enjoying your appetizer or if you're ready to order your main
course, inform the server of your choices. Specify any modifications or dietary
preferences (e.g., vegetarian) at this time.
Sides and Extras: If your meal doesn't include sides, order any additional items
you'd like to accompany your main course, such as fries, salad, or vegetables.
Special Requests: Communicate any special requests or allergies to the server, so
the kitchen can accommodate your needs.
Dessert: If you plan to have dessert, you can order it after finishing your main
course. Some diners prefer to decide on dessert later.
Thank you!
