Vision 2025
Vision 2025 was roll out by PML-N Government on August 11, 2014 by the Ex- Prime
Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Educational Vision:
Education Vision 2025 is part of a Pakistan Vision 2025.

Goals:
Character building:
A good character helps you develop a winning personality. A good character is the
backbone of a magnetic personality which attracts other people
Meeting Learning needs:
Every student needs self-knowledge. Every student needs ideas. Every student needs
to know how to learn.
Pakistani Nationhood and National integration:
Nationhood and National integration is very important in the building of a strong
nation.
Right to Education:
Every citizen in our country has the right of education.
Quality of Education and Institution building:
Enhancing Education Budget:
The purpose of budgeting is to provide the best possible educational opportunities for
every student in an educational institution.

Science and technology:


Scientific knowledge allows us to make new observations about the world, build more
scientific and technical knowledge, and build new technologies.

Early childhood care and Education:


By 2025, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood
development care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education.

Literacy and Non-Formal basic education:


Improving the quality of adult literacy and non formal basic education programmed.
The set of targets and dates of their achievement for adult literacy are 80% by 2025.

Aims:
Pakistan Education Vision 2025 aims at significant expansion in education coverage as
well improvement in the quality of education.
The features of education vision 2025 of planning commission of Pakistan are:
 Increase primary schools enrollment and completion rate to 100% by 2025
 Increase literacy rate 90% to by 2025
 Increase higher educational coverage from 7% to 12% by 2025
 Expansion in higher education enrollment currently from 1.5 million to 5 million
 Increase number of PhDs from 7000 to 15000 by 2025
 Almost doubling of the number of degree awarding institutions currently from 156
to 300 by 2025
 Improve primary and secondary gender parity index to 1 and increase female
workforce participation rate from 24% to 45% by 2025

Targets:
 Up-gradation of 50% existing public sector primary schools to middle level by
2025
 Up-gradation of 40% existing public sector middle schools to secondary or high
schools level by 2025
 Up-gradation of 20% existing high schools to higher secondary school level by
2025
 Increase the group participation rate at middle level from 62% to 85% and net
participation rate from 27% to 50% by 2025
 Increase the group participation rate at secondary level from existing 58% to 70%
and net participation rate from 27% to 40% by 2025
 50% increase in group and net enrolment rates at higher secondary education level
