Introduction: community walk

1. Method

A community walk is a method where you walk through a neighborhood of interest to map out and
collect information about that neighborhood’s resources and dynamics. It provides a first-hand view
of the community, its people, and its assets and can naturally provide all the location information you
need to put your assets on the map. A small map ‘of the hood’ can be used as a tool to directly
record asset locations, as well as a guide for your walk.

3. What is expected for this assignment?
The above pictures that I have shared is of a multispecialty hospital and other one of a homeless and
sick man, there is nobody to care for him and even though there is a health care nearby he can’t
afford the treatment provided there at that money making hospital, which are only accessible to the

socially and economically stable people of the community. That homeless single man represents a
large section of the community which are not able to get the services provided at these
multispecialty hospitals.
