Myth
The third section of the nakṣatra sky starts with Mūla; this is where questioning and possibly
destroying all the value placed on the ‘materiality’ proposed in the second section (from
Maghā to Jyeṣṭhā) occurs. The 1st section is the creation, then the sustenance, and finally
waking up to the illusion of it all, and going back to the ‘roots’ (which is the symbol of this
nakṣatra). The 9/11 tragedy occurred when Mars and Ketu were conjoined near the point of
the galactic center (occurring in the Mūla nakṣatra).
Nirṛtī is the Goddess of Sorrow who signifies the hidden and deathly realms and the absence
of Divine or Cosmic Order (lawlessness). Subsequently, because this nakṣatra is posited in
Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter), the Mūla native may be very interested in anything having to
do with reestablishing order and dedicating much of their time studying law and get
involved in any kind of deep research.
Note that this nakṣatra is associated with comedy. Scientifically, it has been shown that
comedy is a form of submission to show the dark side of humanity (the tragedies of life)
where pleasure is derived from suppressing, humiliating, or even overcoming someone else.
