is composting.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: The learner select and prepare raw
materials and site lay-out.

OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to;
a. Select site based on compost fertilizer production requirements
b. Prepare site lay out
c. Prepare bed in accordance with production requirements

Composting - It is using the natural
process of decay to change organic
wastes into a valuable humus-like
material called compost.

Compost - Composting is the process


in which organic matter such as
leaves and food scraps breaks down
the soil.

Group Activity:
Students will be divided into 2
groups. 1st Group: What are the
characteristics of a good composting
area.
2nd Group: What are the benefits of
using compost.
