management of local governments as they are responsible for overseeing the delivery

of these services. Effective leadership skills can lead to efficient and effective

governance, which can lead to the betterment of the community. In the context of the

Philippines, local governments are recognized as the frontline of governance, making

their leadership skills crucial to the country's development.

This thesis aims to examine the management leadership skills of the local

government employees of Makilala. Specifically, this research will look into the types of

leadership skills possessed by local government employees, the challenges they face in

managing the municipality, and the strategies they use to overcome these challenges
