Commercials Elements Why is it effective?

PRODUCT 1 Images The video was set in what seemed to be a Kung Fu


training hall. First, It showed a group of Chinese men

That was the most memorable part for us as that scene
made us giggle a lot.

In the end, it showed a slogan saying, “You’re not you


when you’re hungry” along with the brands logo. Which
is partly true as most of us can’t focus on a task well if
we aren’t well-fed.

Sound/Music The music played in the video was a traditional Chinese


music that we cannot specify. It was consistently played
until the end. We believe that it blended well with the
theme of the video.

Language/Voice Over No voiceovers were done but Mr. Bean’s grunts while
trying to reach the pole was truly

PRODUCT 2 Images The video started with James Reid talking then
continued with him singing and also dancing with

students dressed in the athletic uniforms. We think that

the texts shown in the video were very fitting with the

gym. In general, most people who take pleasure in
drinking Milo are students and so the theme they have
followed was appropriate.

Sound/Music The main reason why this advertisement is


unforgettable even after six years is the music and the

singing. I remember it being so catchy that almost


everyone in our class was singing it. The lyrics and the
melody of the song is a big part of this advertisement’s
success.

Language/Voice Over James Reid with his attractive Australian accent meshed
so well with the aesthetic and the music of the video.

PRODUCT 3 Images It has been two years but I can still not move on from
this. From what you would think would be a dramatic

scene but it turned out to be so eccentric yet

interesting. The moment the son showed four cups on

connected to her neck was just a weird yet laughable
moment.

Sound/Music The music blended well with what we thought would be


a tear-jerking scene. It made it a lot funnier too
especially in the scene wherein you would not be sure
whether to laugh or just be entirely weirded out.

Language/Voice Over The dialogue merged well with the actors acting
performance too. Although I believe without the audio,
this would still be a top-tier marketing advertisement.
