3. The Holy Bible

The Cross

The God cross is a dominant symbol used not only by the Baptist church but is used

by the whole Christianity Religion because of religious consequence. Most

Christianity churches often have a God cross of the top of the front of the buildings

showing that Jesus has died for there sin. The Significance of the cross used in the

Baptist church the cross symbolizes that Jesus risen from the grave. And died on the

cross to be ‘Completed’ by his father God that rise him from the dead after three

days.

The lord’s Supper

The lord supper is a sacred time of fellowship with God asking him for forgiveness of

sins, it also signify Jesus sacrifice on the cross. For years, followers of Jesus have met

together to take part in a meal that is know as the Lord's Supper. Other Christians

refer to the Lord’s Supper as the Holy Communication which also mean in Greek ‘To

give thanks’. Basically the Lord’s Supper is an invite into a Christian life. This

invitation to a Christian life can be found in the early pages of the Bible.
The Holy Bible

Christians Jesus character and give a revelation of Jesus to his people Christians uses

the Baptist church as a source of instruction that Jesus left with the world to tell us

how Christians are to live they're life’s if they want to be with him in heaven after

death or on the day of judgment. Christians also believe that the Bible was inspired

by the Holy Spirit

Analysis and Interpretation on Information Collection

Christianity is an world leading religion that began in the 19s. In Christianity there

many different type of denominations. Thus the researcher choose to do the

research within the Baptist church. The research has highlighted some of the

Symbols used in the Christianity Religion. But due to how the religion was too wide

to do an investigation on, the researcher break down the research in to one of the

denominations within the religion which the Baptist church. The used the method of

interviewing members of the Mameee River Baptist church. The Researcher

interviewed approximately two (2) male and three (3) female which was all member

of the church. In the Baptist church it is said that the Cross is used to represent the

religion and that it symbolizes that Jesus risen from the grave and died on the cross

to be completed by his father God that rise him from the dead after three days. The

information retrieved after the interview shows that Baptist churches in Jamaica just

use the God Cross to represent peace and that God died on the cross for our sins.

Most people in the world today take the Holy Bible as a book that consists laws that

God gives us Christians to follow, to live a Christian life. But the investigation

revealed that participants say that the Bible is a map and a set of rules navigating

them to be with God in heaven. The research also show that the Lord’s Supper is a

test of one’s faith with the journey with God and that it symbolizes Confession of

one’s sin and recommitting one’s life to God.

In conclusion, Symbols used in the Baptist church plays a major role in the

Christianity denomination and today’s world. The goals of the statement of Aims

Baptist church is not only used by the Baptist church but is used by every

denomination in Christianity to represent Jesus risen from the dead. Also that the

Lord’s Supper Signifies recomittment to Jesus. The researcher also concluded that all

part in allowing us to have a deeper communication and more understanding of

world. Religious Education is great subject and should be taught more in schools

there is more to this subject than just Christianity and its sub-branches and with

more time, teaching and effort put into the subject persons would have a wider

knowledge about different religions, allowing them to have an understanding about

them and how to treat others from different religions.
