ORANGE WALK TOWN BUILDING UNIT PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES FOR PREVENTING AND SLOWING
THE TRANSMISSION OF COVID-19.

The Orange Walk Town Building Unit (OWTBU) would like to inform the public of its new procedures
regarding the submission of plans.

Effective immediately, the OWTBU will only be accepting plan submissions via email
(owbuildingunit@gmail.com) until further notice.

When submitting plans via online, the following must be provided:

1. Application form (all pages) – this can be downloaded from the CBA website
(https://www.cbabelize.org/applications/) or from the professional on record.

2. A valid ID (Social Security Card or Passport) for the Technician on record or Professional on record.

3. Plans for approval in PDF format.

4. PUC approved Electrical Design.

5. Land Documents (Land Certificate, Lease, Transfer of Title etc.).

6. Any structure under 1000 sq.ft must submit with the plans a signed letter from the technician on
record, accepting responsibility for the Design and Submission.

7. Any structure over 1000 sq.ft must submit with the plans a signed letter from the professional on
record (a registered member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Belize or the Association
of professional Architects of Belize) accepting responsibility for the Design and Submission.

8. Proof of payment for Application Fee – to be made at Orange Walk Town Hall or deposited at Belize
Bank Account #1139 700 1012 0001

The public is encouraged to access the application forms from the CBA website and submit their queries via
phone at 610-0481 of via email at owbuildingunit@gmail.com.
