In Shadow

This 13-minute short film, which shows all kinds of corruption, was produced in 2017,
and was written and directed by Lubomir Arsov. This graphic work is very impressive. Showing
all the corrupt aspects of contemporary society in a satirical way, it is an interesting video that
can be read on different levels and allows the discovery of different layers of depth of meaning
of this work. I’m very influenced by this short film that shows reality world in a candor way.
I was impressed by the director's way of presenting this masterful work within 13 minutes
in which he presented all kinds of society's problems in a clear and rational manner. The basic
idea of this work is the truth that may be hidden or ignored by humans. As we can see in this
movie there are people who are being manipulated like puppets, everything they do is just
actions planned by their controllers like an elaborate theatrical.
In a scene from the movie, it displays deeper meanings. That how when they teach people to
be corporate employees, they are always trapped and find themselves living paycheck to
paycheck, but then end up broke. This is basically how corporations keep controlling you like a
puppet. Then it shows how they make material possessions part of your desire and demands,
such as cars and houses. It made me realize how gloomy and exhausting our lives are.
I am enlightened by this great work, Although the film is not long, the director was able to
make you realize the reality of this world and what the shadow of the government hides and the
theme of this film tending to blackness made it much easier to indulge in its dark idea.
