RESEARCH DESIGN

A quantitative research approach was used for this study. Quantitative research is the
process of collecting and analyzing numerical data to find patterns and averages, make
predictions, test causal relationships, and generalize results to wider populations (Bhandari,
2020). Quantitative research was used because it allowed the researchers to conduct the
research problem in specific sets and terms.
The research design followed was a descriptive research design. Descriptive research is a
purposive process of gathering, analyzing, classifying, and tabulating data about prevailing
conditions, practices, processes, trends, and cause-effect relationships and then making
adequate and accurate interpretation about such data with or without or sometimes minimal
aid of statistical methods (Calderon, 2006). Information for this study was collected through
the distribution of questionnaires by our researchers. No form of experimental manipulation
of variables was done in this research.
