1. Answer the following questions:

(a) Nicolaus Copernicus used only the thought experiment in his theories
and ideas. Do you think thought experiment is still useful in science in
present time? Explain why or why not.

- Yes, thought experiment is still useful and will remain so for the
upcoming years since it benefits individuals in many aspects of life,
not just science. It guides us to discover new possibilities, new stuff,
and rethink old ideas, all while reapplying what we already know to the
new discoveries.

(b) One of the factors that adds resistance to intellectual

revolution during old times is religion. Do you think religious
institutions should intervene in scientific activities? Explain why or
why not.

- For me, no, because the Church and Science mostly have various concepts
on the meaning and processing of things.

(c) In your own opinion, how important intellectual revolution is and

how do it transform societies?

- Intellectual revolutions transformed societies by empowering critical

thinking and establishing rules to provide equal rights for everyone.

(d) Considering the current state of our society, do you think science
literacy among people has contributed to the growth of our economy? Give
examples.

- For me yes, Scientific literacy helps individuals to search for

opportunities to improve the world rather than accept it as it is.
Scientific research, medical, better and more secure transportation,
prosthetic limbs, pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence and robots,
and so on are examples. This is what science can help with.
