Introduction
The purpose of this user Guide is to described the steps required to install, configure, initialize and
operate the PAC450 Antenna Control System.
The PAC 450 ANTENNA CONTROLLER is designed to be easily controlled by mobile devices
such as smartphones and tablets. The ease of the reliable and instant wireless communication
tools eliminates the requirement of handheld devices used in conventional antenna control units.
All in one packaging and the communication with adjustable IP without the need of any
software packages.
System Description
The PAC 450 series of Antenna Controllers are specifically designed to control 3- axis Mobile
(vehicle based) SNG Antenna Systems. It can operate with PALS DriveNews series antennas
PDA180, PDA150, PKM120, PKM120L, PKM90L, PKM90Ka, PKM77Ka, PKM120Ka motorized
antenna system, and it can also easily be adapted to any motorized mobile antenna systems.
The PAC-450 can easily be configured depending upon application as basic jog only controller
with only manual pointing or by equipped with a high precision sensor kit (GPS, Fluxgate
compass, Inclinometer, DVB Receiver and 16-bit absolute resolvers) it become a highly
sophisticated antenna control system that can position and peak the antenna to desired satellite
with a “one-touch” operation automatically. It can also make the cross-pole polarization
adjustment by utilizing the pre-defined DVB signal on the target satellite to make the uplink

system be ready for a quick broadcast/transmission in a few minutes. The PAC-450 can also be
configured with tracking option for inclined orbit operation. It can track the inclined orbit
satellite by using specially developed adaptive step track algorithm.
The PAC-450 is a modular system consisting of an outdoor unit and an Antenna controller ındoor

The PAC-450 is powered by 220VAC and consume 200 W maximum.

1- Turn on the PAC-450 Antenna Controller power.
2-Find PAC450 wireless name In your smartphone or tablet or like this gadget and connect.

2.1 Peaking Mode

This menu is used to select peaking mode.
2.2 Offset Settings

Attention: please dont forget to Save After peaking mode ( fast peaking or fine peaking) is selected.
Fast Peaking: When Fast Peaking is selected ,the system is using the standard converging method to
maximize the signal level.
Fine Peaking : When Fine Peaking is selected, the system is using another algorithm which is finding
the 3db break point of the signal and estimates the optimal point.
Fine peaking is recommended for initialize the system to operate before broadcasting.

3.2.1 MAKE FILE (BACKUP SEETINGS FILE)
 Please follow these constructions in order to make Backup Settings File.
1- Be sure antenna is in stow position.
2- Press Make file button for save all current settings.
3- Backup Settings File which is made should be saved in another file.

 Please follow these constructions in order to load Backup Settings File.
1-Be sure antenna is in stow position.

3-Finally, Press Load file button for load settings.

0 Cannot mount flash disc…
Description: Errors in file system. The reason may be a fault in the chip of flash memory.

1 Low flash disk space...
Description: Free space of flash memory not enought for placing all necessary system settings. The
reason may be a fault in the chip of flash memory or soldering not correct flash memory chip.

2 Cannot format flash disc...
Description: Errors in file system. The reason may be a fault in the chip of flash memory.

3 Server settings file was created default…
Description: Server settings file(ip setings) created by default settings. Can be set after run new web
server board, or if this file have crc errors or if flash memory ic was changed.

4 Cannot create server settings file...
Description: Some problems with file system. The reason may be a fault in the chip of flash memory.

5 Server settings file crc error...
Description: CRC error of file. The reason may be a fault in the chip of flash memory or not correct
save/read operations.

6 Cannot open server settings file...

7 Antenna settings file was created default...
Description: ACU settings file(all ACU settings) created by default settings. Can be set after run new
web server board, or if this file have crc errors or if flash memory ic was changed.

Description: Some problems with IP receiver communications. The reason may be not connected ip
receiver or broken cables.

problems in rs485 communications or ACU board not working.
