Summary
Experienced in quality control with over a year working experience in shipbuilding industry. As a QC
inspector, my strength focused around structural hull and welding inspection. The mentioned
responsibilities require me to be able to interpret and be familiar with multiple codes and standards,
primarily IACS and ISO. I am also familiar with various forms of drawings such as fabrication,
construction and assembly drawings with the capacity to perform a broad range of responsibilities. I
am a fast and eager leaner, highly motivated, a team player.

Working Experience

Location: Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia
Quality Control Inspector (November 2018 – Current)
 Perform daily before, during and after inspection activities in all phases of construction from panelling,
assembly, block erection to completion.
 Liaise and assist engineer to report daily progress for quality control function to ensure timely acceptance by
quality department and class surveyor base on project schedule.
 Perform welding inspection of all completed weld joint on all hull structural members using appropriate
codes and standards.
 Perform structural inspection I.e lines marking, dimension and fit up inspection on structural hull members
as per approved for construction drawings.
 Perform block leveling survey before and after welding, before and after overturn of block using either water
house or theodolite.
 Assist QC Inspector Team lead and engineer to perform ship principal dimension inspection I.e. Length
overall, breadth and depth of the newly built ship.
 Assist engineer to perform inclining test to ensure stability and/or balance of the ship with third party
inspector.
 Perform leak testing of tanks and hull using air leak testing and vacuum test in accordance to IACS S14.
 Perform dye penetrant testing on pad eyes / lifting lug for block lifting/overturn.Perform dimensional control
inspection for block erection to ensure leveling, centering, height, breadth, diagonal and etc using technique
such water house leveling, theodolite, plumb, laser and etc.
 Perform ship keel sighting and deck plate fairness inspection.
 Perform in house ultrasonic thickness gauging test around the targeted repair hull location to verify and
ensure ship plate thickness are within tolerance.
 Assist outfitting department to perform anchor chain calibration and other varies inspection such as hose
test, chalk test.
 Assist mechanical department to perform bollard pull testing and other varies mechanical sitting inspection.
 Coordinate with engineer and class surveyor to perform third party inspection for classification society
approval.
