Gelan, Kaliti north and Bole lemi 1 Substations Frequency Setting Report
We have gone to those substations for modifying frequency setting as per requested from
operation planning department. As you know frequency is related to the loads. So, we believe
they studied the load and they requested to our department to modify the setting to 49.25 HZ
frequency for the above substations feeder. The feeders are K6 in Kaliti north, L8 in Gelan and
L1 in Bole lemi. We changed the setting to these value but we want to inform the function and its
setting before and after.

Note: when we set the frequency value, frequency out of range alarm was coming on the relay.
But we tried to analyze why this alarm is coming. We set the value 49.25HZ, it is in the range.
Why it comes? This alarm dismissed when we changed the Inh.alarm- F out? = Yes in the
configuration, it was set No before. So, it needs see again.
