This is V Bhavitha ,Studing 7th grade , Standing before you to

explain about different types of teeth.

Normally,

Humans have four different types of teeth, they are :- 1) Incisors

2) Canines

3)Premolars

4) Molars

The teeth is made up of four tissues, they are :- 1) Enamel

2) Cementum

3) Dentine

4) Pulp

Let me explain the definition of those teeth.

INCISORS :- Incisors are the four front teeth in both upper and lower jaw.There
are totally 8 incisors. They help to cut the food

CANINES :-Canines are the teeth behind and adjacent to lateral incisorson both
jaws. There are totally 4 canines. Their main function is to tear the food .
PREMOLARS :- Premolars are located behind and adjacent to the and canines and
can have 3-4 Cusps. There are 2 of them on the upper jaw and lower jaw on either
side of mouth.In total there are 8 premolars.

MOLARS :- molars are the most posterior teeth in the mouth .They have broader
and flatter surfaces with 4-5 cusps. There are 12 molars the permanent dentition
they help to grind the food.
