in the North- Western
part of India.
It is also called
The Great Indian
Desert or
The Thar Desert.

It covers 70 percent
of Rajasthan.
 Occupation

• The main occupation is agriculture

and cattle rearing.

MAIZE ,

Wooden crafts like
Jharokhas,
furniture, jewellery boxes
and other decorative items
are very popular.
HANDICRAFTS
The bandhani or tie
and dye textile of
Rajasthan is famous
all over the country

Bangles and mirrors
made of lacquer and
jewellery made of
bone, horn and silver
are also popular.

• Dal bati churma ,gatte ki
sabzi ,papad.
Dried lentils and beans are
used to make their daily
meals.GRAM FLOUR is the
main ingredient.
Due to hot and dry climate
very few vegetable grow.

Gram flour is used to prepare
some of the delicacies of
Rajsathan like gatte ki sabzi,
mangodi,papad,Dal bati churma.
