Topic : Things to know about linguistics

1.   What is linguistics?

Answer:

Each human language is a complex of skills and information that enables

speakers to communicate with one another and express thoughts, theories,
feelings, wants, and anything else that needs to be expressed. Based on my
research, this is the study of human language, including its structure,
evolution, acquisition, and application in daily life, is called linguistics.
Although the study of other languages is a component of linguistics, fluency
in many languages is not a requirement for being a linguist. In fact, many
people even think that the area is more of a science than an art because it
focuses more on understanding the nature of language itself. Another
definition of linguistics is this is a natural science that studies natural
language. It is similar to how a scientist utilizes the scientific method to
gather and examine observable facts, linguists research language by
observing, collecting, and evaluating how people use language.

Knowledge growth is the primary goal of studying linguistics in a classroom

setting. The knowledge acquired via the study of linguistics, however, has a
wide range of practical implications and uses because language is so
important in human interaction and behavior. Graduates of linguistics
programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels put their training to use
in a wide range of fields, such as language pedagogy, speech pathology,
speech synthesis, natural language interfaces, search engines, machine
translation, forensics, naming, and of course all forms of writing, editing,
and publishing.

2.  What are the different aspects of linguistics?

Answer:

Discovering the science of languages, their origins and evolution, as well as

how our minds interpret them as forms of communication, is the goal of
linguistics. This field of study is particularly interesting to those who enjoy
studying new languages because it can teach you the origins and past of any
language, opening up the entire world of even the most basic dialect or
language. Students can pick from a variety of specialities in the vast field of
linguistics.

divided into a number of subfields those are the Phonetics, Phonology,
Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, and Pragmatics. Aside from language
structure, other perspectives on language are represented in specialized or
interdisciplinary branches those are the Historical Linguistics,
Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Ethnolinguistics (or

and Neurolinguistics.
