1. How can you tell if the source of an information is credible?


There are many criteria identify it is a credible or not. A credible source is free from bias and
backed up with evidence. It is written by a trustworthy author or organization You will know if
the source of information has name of authors, and the information should be up to date or
current. The author and publication should be a trusted authority on the subject you
researching. When you are looking a site that give you a credible information the cover it is
easily identify if fake or not. The sources the author cited should be easy to find, clear, and
unbiased.

2. What do we mean by the “creative techniques” in media? And how does it affect the message
being sent?
Creative technique in media encourage creative actions, whether in the arts or sciences. They
focus on a variety of aspects of creativity, including techniques for idea generation and methods
of re-framing problems, changes in the affective environment. Effective creative advertising
strategies is a way to introduce and improve the business. Successful advertisers target a
specific market, analyze their competition, position their product or service in the marketplace
and create a budget for advertising like Cable TV.

3. Why do other people interpret the same message differently?


People interpret the same message differently because we have different thoughts and
perspective to something. Two people may see the same thing but their interpretation are
different they have their own opinion. It depends on us on how to interpret and it will base our
experience.

4. In what way does ideals and values being “sold” through media?
The media dictates our action and change our lifestyle because of media. The media tell us how
to dress and what to think and even our political. Media encourage us to buy something that we
don’t need and sometimes other people influence us because they tell us it’s trend you need to
buy something just to look like them. We feel the pressure to measure up to the way fashion
models look in the pages of magazines, or the way actors and actresses look in the movies, on
television, or on the Internet. Artists in music videos give us images of beauty and a lifestyle that
most of us can only dream about. Media affect us and influence us and you want to suit in the
society and our perspective change and because of the media we can’t show who you really are
because you want to look like them.

5. How can the purpose of a message affect your response as a media consumer?
Message from media affect us as a media consumer there are advantage and disadvantage.
Media educate us because of media we can get some information or news allows us to be
update keeping up with what is happening in the world. We read newspaper stories, magazine
features, and news blogs; listen to radio broadcasts and podcasts; and watch and listen to
television newscasts, documentaries, and online video tutorials and also media entertain us.
The media can affect consumer’s attitude, lifestyle, social reality and many more.
Advertisements such as billboards and TV commercials typically present easily recognizable
media messages. Ad designers have a clear picture in our mind of what what we want to do to
buy a product. Advertisement attract our interest by showing something we want, even if we
didn't think you wanted it before you saw the advertisements that is why media affect us.
