Under the Republic of the Philippines, the

aim of education focused on democracy

and society, Content of curricula entailed

on training for occupation promotion of

democratic nation building and of

community development.
R.A. 139 enacted on June 14, 1947 and the

board of textbooks. This law provided that

all public schools must only use books that

are approved by the board for period of six

years from the date of their adoption

Students learned in a child-

friendly,gender-sensitive,safe and

motivating environment.
1987 Constitution
Article XIV Section I.The state shall

protect the right of all citizens to quality

education at all levels.

Shall take approriate steps to make such

education accessible to all.

Provide adult citizen, the disabled and out

of school youth with traning and civics

vocational efficiency and other skills.

Acquire literacy,numeracy, creativity and

communication skills.
