INEFFABLE SIGNIFICANCE OF SPEECH AND THEATER ARTS

Submitted by: Hezekiah Wyn L. Vios

The broad field of speech arts include public speaking, improv, storytelling, literary
analysis, and the dynamic and successful presentation of poetry, prose, and drama.
Together with speech structure and concept organization, the study of speech arts also
encompasses the study of vocal diversity, body language, physicality, eye focus,
characterization, and emotional awareness.

The practice of speech and theater arts helps people develop the abilities and methods
that will make them more comfortable speakers in both private and public contexts and
raise their knowledge of the strength and adaptability of their natural voices. Speech
arts helps students become more critical and creative thinkers, more sympathetic world
citizens, and it enables them to explore and express their creativity because it employs
the tools of literature and drama to cultivate good vocal and performance skills.
