Elements of Art: VALUE

Stippling is a drawing technique in which dots


are used to create areas of light and shadow. It
involves a creation of pattern using dots of
varying degrees of solidity hence, the resulting
image has no lines. Dots are strategically placed
to suggest forms, shapes, contrast, and depth.
