CRITIQUE ESSAY OR REVIEW: Dalmacio A.

Lazaro

Mr. Ricardo Lee and Raymond Lee, the author who wrote the ‘ANAK’
gives us lessons and good message to those who lost their way in life, that they
need to change or adjust so that they could get back on their feet living in
happiness and testify for all.

A woman who struggle to make life better for her family found out that
her efforts have caused divergence between her and her children in this family
drama. Josie (Vilma Santos) is a mother of three from the Philippines who took a
job in Hong Kong, working as a nurse for a rich couple for many years. Josie
knows she can make more money in Hong Kong than she can do at home, but
she also had idea about how it will affect her children, especially when the
husband died shortly after she left the country. When Josie returns, she has gifts
for all and saved a large percentage of her salary, which she plans to use to start a
business, but her children do not accept their mother with open arms. The
youngest child, Dad (Sheila May Alvero) and Michael (Baron Geisler), are guarded
around Josie, and meanwhile they are unable to handle their relationship with
their mother, the oldest, Carla (Claudine Barretto) does nothing to deny her
resentment for what she sees as a terrible abandonment to her family. Her
children doesn’t know what the real hardship working overseas and how hard it
is to work especially in Hong Kong and how she treated and cared for those
people she don’t know and when she brought out the pain that has been
tormenting her, her children realized the sacrifices made by their parents to
support the family.

The author has given a great lesson to all the people of the world so that it
can give good manners to the many and this film have a great delivery to
understand the message of this film to other.

My lesson in watching "ANAK" is that a parent's true love does not change
anything because their child is their unique treasure that must be taken care of
no matter how much trouble and sacrifice they make for their family, they should
never give up their love for their real family whatever hardships they may face.

The movie have a great delivery to us and the actor and actresses do the
best to act for the film and because the message mo the film is to give us s
lessong to everyone do not commit the thing that will lead into a danger.
