Romantic Night Table Lamp

Hello and welcome to my rst instructable.

Today we'll create a cute and elegant night table lamp which is a great gift to share with your beloved ones. It is made of
2.5 mm MDF and as the bene t that is just connected to your household outlet.

I will provide you with the editable les so you can costumize and create your own lamp.

Supplies:

1 m Power cord 20 awg

1 E12 Socket
1 E12 5W light bulb
Translucid plastic (translucid binding covers or similar)
0.24 m2 of 2.5 mm thickness MDF
Paint
White glue

Tools

Hot glue gun

Laser cutter
Scissors
cutter

Step 1: Cutting the Pieces

Note: This box is made using 2.5 mm MDF.

If you need to adjust the thickness of your lamp, make sure to edit the svg le on the edges.
For this lamp is adjusted on 2.7 mm due to laser kerf.

I used a 100W Laser cutter and I use the following settings for this particular material:

Speed: 40mm/s
Power: 75%
Distance from the material to the tip of the laser head: 6mm
Assisted air: full open

I prefer to paint the both sides of the MDF before cutting.

Step 2: Preparations Before Assembling

1. We must prepare the power cutting the lenght you want use and stripping the tip.
2. Pass the power cord through the hole in the bottom piece of the lamp and put togheter the power cord
and the socket.
3. Glue the E12 soquet to the bottom piece of the lamp.
4. We must cut the translucid plastic to the cover the internal cuttings of the 5 sides of the lamp.

Step 3: Assembling

We use the white glue to put togheter the 6 pieces of the box.

I like using this kind of glue because it crystalizes and the union looks clean.

Besides it creates a solid union.

Step 4: Final

The nal result creates a soft and warm light that can be on all night.
