● HOSA Mission
To help Future Health Professionals become leaders in the global health
community through education, collaboration, and experience.
● HOSA Meetings:
○ We are going to have the meetings over Zoom calls due to the
COVID-19 Pandemic.
○ First semester meetings will be once a month on mondays
○ Second semester we will move to biweekly as competition
approaches
○ We currently do not have any volunteer opportunities due to covid
● Opportunities:
○ Travel: State and international competitions (Charleston, SC and
Orlando, Florida) we make this affordable for all members
○ Opportunities to beat Clemson and Wofford
○ Networking: You never know who you will meet. The surgeon
general speaks at internationals and there are several board
representatives.
○ Scholarships - Members have won on both levels ($1,000+)
○ Volunteering opportunities TBD

● HOSA Fundraising:
○ Percent nights - We are open to ALL suggestions
○ Dates will be set up by 10/12

■ Beezer’s
○ Funding:
■ For competition or travel experience, the student government
will help provide some finding. It works on a reimbursement
process only.
● Dues:
○ $40.00. This is a one-time fee, including both chapter and state
dues.
 ○ If an issue we can set up a payment plan.
○ Contact an executive board for any questions, comments, or
concerns if this is still not affordable
