According to the World Health Organization’s Ottawa for Health


Promotion (1986), health is a resource for everyday life, not the
objective of living. Health has 6 Dimensions which contribute to the
total well-being of a person.

• Physical Health: Practicing healthy eating habits, being


physically active, feeling well, resistance to disease, taking care
of out bodies, and our ability to heal.

• Example: Adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet, cutting


back on processed foods,

sleep.
 

• Social Health: Interactions with others, developing healthy


relationships/friendships, adopting
