Session:
• Supervision and Inspection: Concept of Supervision, Need, Importance, and
Aims of supervision and Inspection.
• Types of Supervision and new Trends of Supervision.

In this session, the lessons discussed by the assigned reporters were all about
Supervision and Inspection. In these topics, I have learned various key points that
are found to be essential.

The supervision process entails a manager meeting with the employee

regularly to discuss their job. It is done in accordance with the rules, laws,
regulations, guidelines, inspection requirements, provisions, and service
requirements. Supervision can help create a more supportive, caring, and positive
working environment, providing a space for regular communication, problem-
solving increased teamwork. In the context of managing an institution, supervision
is very important as the process of supervision involves making sure that the
curriculum is being implemented effectively and helping those who are doing so.
Moreover, as inspective, and supervisory in nature, it provides activities designed to
meet institutional objectives. Furthermore, The facilitation of
performance increased quality of output, and the ability of instructional
supervisors to keep an eye on staff output are all advantages of supervision
approaches. A personnel inspection is also carried out to assess the standard,
effectiveness, and efficiency of operations. In the school context, supervision and
inspection are essential keys in the purposive conduct of technical assistance. This
technical assistance may be focused on the teachers and their teaching practices or
matters and undertakings by the school. As per experience, supervision and
inspection can be a great opportunity to share and discuss institutional matters
and experiences in terms of carrying out the functions of an educational
institution. And undergoing this process is also building trust and collaboration
within and across the education system.

Other things that I learned are the different types of supervision. One of
them is democratic supervision which I found to be very interesting. Democratic
supervision is done through mutual consent and discussion of the subordinates
which is also known as consultative supervision. I found this type of supervision in
my context because I am working in a closely tied working environment, in a small
school. Adopting this kind of supervision allows us to be grounded with the
expectation of the pace of our work, as we always delegate tasks beyond the usual
work we do in teaching. Abd this type of supervision is a new trend in supervision
which show a more collaborative and consensus working environment because of
its purpose of inclusivity to all the members.
