TITLE: Module 1-Activity: Introduction to History and RA 1425

Direction: Answer the following questions:

1. What is history and what are the sources of history.

 History means inquiry or investigation of past events, time, and places. History focuses
on the experiences of our ancestors in those who occupied our country. The first source
of history is primary sources. This source has evidence and not corrupted by hands of
the person. While the other source of history is secondary that interpreted, analyzed,
and assessed by the people who uses historical narratives.

2. Explain the concept of the “anachronism of the past”.

 Anachronism means when author deliberately or accidentally puts historical events in
the wrong place. They are considered errors due to lack of research. One of the
examples of it is the painting of Aristotle shows that he wears a wristwatch.

3. Explain why RA #1425 never mentioned Rizal as the “national hero”. What are your
thoughts?
 Because Rizal was not a leader of revolution of that time. But he went on to be a
revolutionary by writing a novel about what we had gone through in the hands of
Spaniards. He better writing novel and made it published it public.
