Jhansi Rani – Role Play

Script
Mansi – Good Morning to all of you, I give you a very warm welcome to our
role play about Jhansi Rani.
Here are the roles –
Diya is Lord Dalhousie, Myself (Mansi) is the narrator, Ranjita is the British
and Samanvi is Jhansi Rani.
It all started when Raja Gangadhar Rao was ruling the kingdom of Jhansi and
was married to Rani Laksmi Bai. Raja Rao started getting health problems and
took his last breath on November 22, 1853.When the Revolt of 1857 had broken
out in Meerut and Rani Laksmi Bai started ruling over Jhansi. Until British
started to take over the kingdom.
Scene – 1
-----------------------Samanvi puts on some dance moves---------------------
Diya – If any Indian ruler dies without leaving a male heir, his kingdom would
automatically pass over to the British.
Mansi – Raja Gangadhar Rao didn’t have any male heir and he had to adopt
one.
Samanvi – I will revolt against this since this kingdom is ours. You don’t have
any rights to take over my kingdom even though the previous king didn’t have
an heir to his throne. I will fight bravely against this unnecessary policy.
Scene – 2
Ranjita & Diya (together) – We are an army of thousands of people. You little
fools cannot make a single move in front of us.
Samanvi – The number doesn’t matter. It is all our bravery and sacrifice
towards the kingdom. Our kingdom is well guarded.
-----------------------sword battle started (Samanvi against Ranjita)-------------
Mansi – The battle started. Jhansi Rani was carrying a four month baby named
Damodar Rao during this time.
------------------------Ranjita will throw a bomb-----------------------------------------
Samanvi– I think that the resistance in my army is not resulting in anything, I
will leave Jhansi and join forces with Tatia Tope and Rao Sahib.
 Scene – 3
Diya (Tantia Tope) – Don’t worry Rani Laksmi I will give my fullest faith and
my support in you for this battle. Let us hope victory.
Samanvi – Thank you so much officer Tantia.
----------------Battle continues with Ranjita against Diya and Samanvi-----
(Ranjita kills Samanvi when she falls into the fire)
Diya (Tantia Tope) – Oh no! Rani Lakshmi.
Mansi – Jhansi dies with her son. Lakshmi Bai is remembered for her bravery
during the Indian Mutiny of 1857–58 and the battle against her kingdom and
British. But, the British gained victory, and the kingdom was annexed by them.
