US Nitrogen Donates $3,000 to Local Volunteer Fire Departments

MIDWAY, Tenn. – April 18, 2018 – On April 27, 2018, US Nitrogen will be making donations to
previously supported volunteer fire departments in Greene County, Tennessee. Two fire departments –
Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department and Midway Volunteer Fire Department – will each receive annual
donations of $1,500.

US Nitrogen has supported these two departments since earlier this year and has decided to further
their backing through monetary donations each year. Recently, US Nitrogen has shown their support for
both Mosheim and Midway volunteer fire departments by installing siren alert systems, improving siren
audibility and instituting emergency notification systems.

“We are committed to providing safety to our community and wanted to help local fire departments
further this vision,” said US Nitrogen Plant Manager Andy Velo.

Protection of human health and the environment is of upmost importance to US Nitrogen, and the
company is proud of its environmental and safety record.

Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department is the first and oldest chartered fire department in Greene County.
They offer services open to the community, including Fire Safety Training. While they offer to teach
children at schools how to safety escape fires, the department sponsors Mosheim Pack 99 Cub Scouts.

Midway Volunteer Fire Department has been dedicated to assisting their community for over 50 years.
They work hard to respond quickly and aid their supporters. The department often hosts “Country
Breakfasts” to interact and engage with the community they serve.
