MECHANICS FOR QUIZ BEE (BASIC Accounting)

1. The JPAMA DAY: Academic Cup is a raise-board type quiz bee and composed of three (3) Rounds
– Easy, Average, and Difficult Round.
2. The persons who got the correct answer will be given a points according to the scoreboard.
3. All the questions in the quiz bees will be read twice by the quiz master. Requests to repeat a
question shall not be entertained unless there is an approval from the member of JPAMA
council present on the contest proper.
4. In cases where a question was voided upon the recommendation of the Board of Judges or by
the Academics Committee, questions coming from those reserved in anticipation of a clincher
round shall be arbitrarily taken to replace the voided question. The question shall be read twice
by the quizmaster, as an exception to the general rule.
5. Before proceeding to the next question, contestants shall be given an allotted time of 45
seconds to raise a protest/ clarification, to request for a new marker or scratch paper, to change
their calculator if it encounters a technical problem or other concerns. After the allotted time
has elapsed, the quiz master shall read the next question thus protest shall no longer be
entertained.
6. Contestants caught cheating shall be immediately disqualified in the competition.
7. In case of a tie in the final scoring, clincher questions shall be asked by the quiz master. Difficulty
can vary from easy, average, or difficult.
8. Time allotment, number of items, and corresponding points are as follows:
