QUIZ BEE MECHANICS

GENERAL RULES

1. The teams are composed of three members each. Incomplete teams shall result to
disqualification.
2. The contest is divided into Three Rounds: Easy, Moderate and Difficult.
3. The contestants should be at the venue 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Immediate
disqualification for those who will fail to be on time.
4. Clarifications will only be entertained by the Quiz Master before the quiz starts.
5. Proper behaviour shall be observed at all times.

EASY AND MODERATE ROUND

1. Each question in the Easy Round is equivalent to 1pt each and 2pts each for the Moderate
Round.
2. Both rounds will have 10 questions of multiple choice.
3. Questions and choices will be randomly picked by the Quiz Master and shall be read twice
only. Afterwards, the Quiz Master will say “GO” and only then may the contestants may
write their answer in the provided materials.
4. The contestants will be given 10 seconds to answer each question.
5. The contestants who will write their answers before the signal from the Quiz Master will
automatically lose the question/round.
6. Answers must be written neatly and clearly. The Quiz Master has the discretion to decide on
this matter.
7. No questions may be entertained during the contest proper.
8. Only the Top 5 Teams will advance to the Difficult Round.

DIFFICULT ROUND

1. The difficult round will be identification or enumeration.

2. Correct spelling must be observed at all times. Incorrect spelling shall not be accepted.
3. Incomplete answers shall not be accepted.
4. Each question is equivalent to 3pts. No partial points may be given.
5. Questions and choices will be randomly picked by the Quiz Master and shall be read twice
only. Afterwards, the Quiz Master will say “GO” and only then the contestants may write
their answer in the provided materials.
6. The contestants will be given 15 seconds to answer each question.
7. The answers must be written neatly and clearly. The Quiz Master has the discretion to
decide on whether the answers are clearly written or not.
8. The Top 3 teams shall be determined after the round for purposes of ranking and prizes.
