STEP 2: Register for S/NVQ route suitable for experienced Managers

You DO NOT need to attend college, but you will need to find a provider that can undertake your
assessment which can be achieved using various routes including a professional discussion.

Your provider will guide you on anything you need to provide to complete the S/NVQ.

STEP 3: Complete your S/NVQ route suitable for experienced Managers


The length of time to completion of the S/NVQ will depend on your experience, the evidence you have to
hand, and the type of assessment method, so ensure you register for your assessment as soon as possible.

If your Industry Accreditation card expires before you have completed your S/NVQ you can apply for
the temporary Red Card for Experienced Technical, Supervisor or Managers.

STEP 4: Apply for your CSCS Card

STEP 5: Claim a CITB grant


Once you have completed your S/NVQ, your employer (or the contractor you work for if you are
self employed) may be able to claim an achievement grant from CITB to help towards the cost.
