CHANGING THE

LANDSCAPE OF
ENGINEERING
The University of Louisville is home to
a community of diverse perspectives
and backgrounds. Working together,
we address global challenges and drive
needed change to build a better world
here and beyond.

The world’s problem-solvers often

are STEAM-powered, proficient in
science, technology, engineering, art
and mathematics – but not everyone
traditionally gets a head start in those
areas. UofL is joining Toyota and other
select Kentucky higher education
institutions in a powerful partnership to
help underrepresented students earn
engineering degrees.

Full-tuition scholarships to UofL’s J.B.

Speed School of Engineering for female
and minority students will combine with
mentoring from engineers employed by
one of the world’s largest automakers.
And paid co-ops will ensure students
gain hands-on experience so they can
help diversify the high-tech workforce.

Tapping the talent pipeline early will

help change the face of engineering for
our future.
