To shine like a precious gem and a bright star is an attitude, a philosophy,

a state of mind and an ultimate goal for victory, a journey and the
destination for greatness. The Oxford dictionary defines shine’ as giving out
a bright light, glowing. And so just like a gem and a star, Burgos National
High School do SHINES!!

And today, there is an air of unexplainable excitement of shining emotions,


thoughts, passion, superb performances and a celebration that none of us
could clearly define the exact the bright it gives but surely a festivity, and
thanksgiving of an institution founded to shine the brightest.

Hence, Stars don’t shine because they want to be seen; they shine because
they are stars, they are the leaners, the teachers, the parents, the
stakeholders, the department and everyone who shines like a star.

Ladies and gentlemen, As we should! Today is a day of grandeur and


majesty. So without further adue, I am Aisa G. Castro and I am John
Gilbert B. Paltao, your hosts saying Good afternoon! And welcome to this
year’s 54th Founding Anniversary of Burgs National High School with the
theme: “Burgoskwela Shines @ 54: Conveying Sincerity, Honesty, Integrity,
nobility and excellence in service through the years”.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: To start with, invitation is being conveyed to everyone


to join in the singing of our National Anthem with Mrs. Milanta
F. Perez, Head Teacher 3, as conductress. May I request everyone to please
rise.

INVOCATION: Let us draw strength and inspiration from the


Lord Almighty through an invocation to be led by Ms. Gethy B. Peralta,
Teacher III..

OPENING REMARKS: To set the tone for today’s ceremony may we now
listen to an Opening Remarks to be delivered by our steadfast director
general, Dr. Villamor C. Baculi.

WELCOME ADDRESS: The voice of reason and a mother to us all, let us


welcome Dr. Myline J. Respicio, our School Principal, for her words of
welcome.

INTRODUCTION OF THE GUEST SPEAKER: An embodiment of an


empowered woman, our guest speaker deserves to be introduced properly,
may I call on Mrs. Marielle A. Cadelina, Teacher 3, for the introduction of
our Guest Speaker.

GRAND MARCH

Many were called, but few were chosen. A deed achieved on the basis of
solidarity, philanthropy and unity. Distinguisehed guests, BNHS Family,
students, friends, visitors, ladies and gentlemen we are about to witness the
marching of the winning candidates together with their family and friends.
Let us all pay our respect and applaud them as they make their way to their
thrones.

PINNING OF SASHES

As part of the lifelong tradition, it is time for our winning candidates to be


presented with important and symbolic materials such as sashes,
garments, robes, scepters, and crowns, as clear representation of their
royalty, authority and nobility as well as their victory, success and
achievement.

Ladies and gentlemen, we now come to the pinning of sashes. A sash


represents class and merit. A thing only the noble could wear.

The crown symbolizes Royalty, Power, Legitimacy, Glory, Divinity, and
Dynasty. An ornament of prestige as well as great responsibility.

Marching and Reliquishing of Crowns

Before we adorn the coming of a new age, we must first celebrate the ones
that came before, one last time. Ladies and Gentlemen lets us all give stand
and give respect to our Mr and Ms Burgos NHS 2020 as they march for the
last time and relinquish their crowns, capes, and scepters.

Being a winning candidate is not just a title inscribed in all of peoples’


minds, it is also a title inscribed in black and white. Ladies and gentlemen,
