Mission Statement:

For 30 years, A Place Called Home has been providing South Central youth with a safe,
nurturing environment and proven programs in the arts, education, and wellness to help them
improve their economic conditions and develop healthy, fulfilling, and purposeful lives.

Mission Purpose:

A Place Called Home is an organization that provides the youth with, a safe and nurturing
environment to develop healthy purposeful lives.

I chose this organization because I want to contribute to my community, and help

improve the lives of our youth. I want to be able to give the youth a safe environment where they

can thrive and not worry about their safety. The purpose of A Place Called Home is to help
improve the youth's economic conditions, and develop healthy, fulfilling, and purposeful lives. A

Place Called Home provides a benefit to my community by supporting the youth and giving

them a future to look forward to. This organization takes care of and supports the future of our

community. The role I envision myself doing is helping the kids with homework, making food

for them, and playing games with them. By volunteering for this organization I gain experience

in child services, meal prep, and critical thinking. This experience can be beneficial to me as I

can use this experience on my resume to show what my capabilities and experiences are.
