Mission Statement:

A Place Called Home provides a safe, nurturing environment with proven programs in arts, education, and
wellness for the young people in South Central Los Angeles to help them improve their economic conditions
and develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives.

Mission Purpose:

A Place Called Home is a non Profit organization that provides the youth with a safer environment to develop
healthy purposeful lives.

I chose this origination because I would love to contribute to my community, and help improve the lives

of the youth. I'd like to see the youth in a completely safe environment where they won’t have to worry

about anything at all. I like kids so I definitely see myself in a role helping with homework, interacting,

playing games or simply just spending time together. The purpose of A Place Called Home is to help them

improve their economic conditions and develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives. I know there's a
lot of kids out there who don't have a good and safe environment so this organization benefits my

community because I’ll love to support the youth and give them a future to look forward to if they don't

already have one.
