B: 我不想继续比赛了。
wǒ bù xiǎng jı̀xù bı̌sài le.
I don’t want to continue with the competition.

A: 记者都是乱写的,没人会相信他们。
jı̀zhě dōu shı̀ luàn xiě de, méirén huı̀ xiāngxı̀n tāmen.
These reporters are all writing made-up stuff. No one will
believe them.

B: 我心里很难受。真后悔参加这个比赛!
wǒ xı̄nlı̌ hěn nánshòu. zhēn hòuhuı̌ cānjiā zhège bı̌sài.
I get so upset. I really regret entering this contest.

A: 你别这么想,这个机会多好啊!
nı̌ bié zhème xiǎng, zhège jı̄huı̀ duō hǎo a!
Don’t think like that, this is such a great opportunity!

B: 如果我继续比赛,他们可能写得更过分。我真的
不想比了。

Quit telling me what to do. You have no idea how ugly and
messy a beauty pageant is. I can’t take it anymore!

hǎo ba, nı̌ zı̀jı̌ juédı̀ng ba.
All right, you make the decision.

B: 我已经决定了。
wǒ yı̌jı̄ng juédı̀ng le.
I have already decided.
