02 Quiz 1

Case #1
Regarding Mr. Fernando's proposal to spend Php85 million building a sports center
near Intramuros, I consider it to be an impossible choice. It maybe be in sense that  the
Intramuros brings together a large number of people, and that these people will have
easy access to the sports complex, enabling them to simply attend any events that will
be hosted in the sports complex. Nonetheless, as the Presidential Order No. 1616 (April
10, 1979), The Intramuros has served as a priceless historical resource for the City of
Manila and a significant Philippine monument. Mr. Fernando has no right to build an
establishment within Intramuros.

Case#2
The DOT focuses on the regulations put in place to create and maintain tourist
destinations and attractions for both domestic and foreign tourists. In the case of Manila
Mayor Isko Moreno, his actions were a thorough obedience to and application of the
law. On the legality of Mayor Moreno's action in perspective of the local government
units' authorized regulations. The laws that Mayor Isko Moreno put into place, however,
are not covered by the DOT.
