INTRODUCTION
A career strategy has many definition but I find the best definition as the behaviour,
activity or an experience that allow the individual to achieve the career goals. From that
definition its will helps me to developing the skills and knowledge most the students when
they making the decisions regarding the career choices and also help the individual to
recognize the required training in a specific area. The essay will be based on the operation
management transportation industry such as Muscat airports in which my dream as graduate
student i am planning as my career. The essay will cover the general understanding about the
career strategy as well as skills which is required within the development of the career in the
operation sector.

In addition the study will help in determining individual’s strategy plan in order to
meet the goals of the targeted career in future. Therefore different views of the different view
of researcher of strategy plan will be cover in this essay the report in order to achieve the
skills required within the growth of the graduated students if they are planning their career
objectives.

From the view of research Eurico, Da Silva and Do Valle, (2015) they say that
graduated students have wide variety of opportunities in various different types of fields so
operation management is also one of the special career that offered to the bachelor’s degree
graduating students. So there is a need to develop the skills and knowledge among the
graduate students in order to meet the career goals to fit into place them to set the career
goals. So, the effective strategy in my opinion for the career path way inside the operation
management also allows the bachelor graduating students to decide their future employment
plan within this competitive to getting the job. On the other hand, Schwartz, (2016) depicts
that strategic planning is essential for the career development as it help the students to ensure
that they stay focused. So From my study time at college I focused on the major of operation
management that help me to get more understanding of the field that i need to understanding
more such making planning for short and long tha`t will help to increase effectiveness and
efficiency of support services that help to achive the goal of the business. Also understand
different area like understand setting the budgeting and also the way need to ma`nging people.

Also, there is a research done by Sibunruang, Garcia and Tolentino, (2016), they say that
there is a huge requirement for the development of the effective skills for the graduated

students in order to meet the targeted career objectives. Such skills include the organizing
skills, time management skills and cultural awareness because these skills allow the
graduated student to minimize the challenges during the operations within the industry and
thus enable the just graduated student to learn the business operating environment. In order to
meet the career objectives within the field of operation management as graduating bachelor’s
degree, different skills and knowledge are I have discovered various skills which help me to
get the career target in future. Therefore by gaining the skills and knowledge, I would be able
to achieve the targeted career strategies in future to meet my career goals. Therefore, taking
the inspirations from many experienced operation manger such as Jeff Bezos the CEO of
Amazon who start as online seller in small company in New York called (Danks) and
developed his skills and knowledge of online operation selling till he became one of best
Amazon operation manger, so he inspired me to make my career strategic steps will involve
the different skills and knowledge which will be described below:

● I need to strengthen the team management strategy and effective communication in

order to meet the career objective in future to work as the operation manger at Muscat
airport. I will achieve this strategy by attending the seminars and workshops in order
to understand the effect of the communication over the making decision and
coordinating the work.
● My career strategy plan will also include development of the professional attitude. I
will achieve this strategy by reading the journals and books that reflects different
situational aspects of the operation management industry.
● I will also focus towards the problem solving and critical study in order to understand
the positive as well as negative points involved with the issue. Thus it will help me to
achieve the targeted career objective after my completion of my bachelor’s degree.
Development of this strategy will allow me to enhance critical understanding and also
help me to take the effective decisions.

CONCLUSION
From the above the essay, it has been concluded that bachelor students are identifying
strategies and skills in order to meet the career objective within the field of operation
management. The report has developed a complete understanding about the point of views
and knowledge provided by the different authors in order to meet the targeted career
strategies to get the career target in future. Also, as per the critical understanding about
various authors, I had developed a effective strategic plan which will support me to build my

career within the operation management industry just after the completion of the Bachelor’s
degree. Also various skills and knowledge will be explored within the report which help me
to build my career strategies effectively.
