4.1 Load index
The load index is a numerical code associated wi th a
maxi mu m load a tyre can carry a t the speed indicated
by i ts speed sym bol under service conditions speci-
fi ed by th e tyre manufacturer.

carrying capacities shall be as given in table 1 .
